The Pity Party wants my blog love

And here, they have it. I received such a charming mail PLUS, I really did like the music of this Californian duo. Check them out at their Myspace. The singer has red hair and they have a lot of nice self designed covers: “There are six different covers. They are $5 each plus shipping. You want one.”
The music is something in between the Raveonettes and Broadcast, a little noisy, a little trashy and a little longing with nice melodies hiding between the strange chords. Download their supersong “Lovelies”:

Deutschlands erste (blog me) Site (oder BlogMeSite?)
February 2, 2008 on 4:41 pm by Thomas | In Design, Fashion, P3000, Publicity / Marketing, unsigned myspace hype | 2 CommentsUniversal, Yahoo and PANORAMA3000 proudly present Germany’s first BlogMeSite for Jack Johnson. [Disclaimer: I work for P3000 now and we are not really certain about the name, the original developer David from France obviously likes "(blog me) SITE" more, but I am not so sure if that's a good idea. "BlogMeSite" would be much better in terms of search engine findability, and the domain obviously is blogmesite.com as well. What do you think? "BlogMeSite" oder "(blog me) SITE"?]
Anyway, the thing, whatever you want to call it, is a blast. You can put in whatever you want and you can put it wherever you want. It’s a microsite widget which consists of a bunch of flash content with audio, video, news (via RSS even), dates and newsletter box. The cool thing is the blogme-Code: Copy the code to your blog or whatever social network profile, there’s even a Facebook application for it. And it get’s even easier: MySpace users e.g. just type in their login data and can post it to any section of their profile with a simple click. BlogMeSites are going to be huge, I am sure, because thery are the überwidgets. But what am I telling you: Just try it out!
Myspace Secret Shows Deutschland
July 6, 2007 on 3:14 pm by Thomas | In Berlin Scene, Music, going out, unsigned myspace hype | Say something!
Myspace Secret Shows Deutschland drehen mächtig auf.
Notic Nastic: the return of the friendly robots
May 22, 2007 on 11:21 pm by Thomas | In Berlin Scene, Music, unsigned myspace hype | 2 Comments
Remember Notic Nastic? The two robots, lost in an impossible mission to spread forgotten knowledge among mankind by turning dancefloors upside down?
The friendly guys have now returned from on a journey to their spaceship to bring us some bits and bounces out of the now unusable cock pit. What they also brought is a brand new website: noticnastic.com with many videos and music. When computers cry and dance at the same time this is what it sounds like.
And here is a live mix to illustrate the power of the Notic Nastic mission. Get in, fire, get out.

English breakfast on sunday with The Michelles
April 20, 2007 on 11:57 pm by Thomas | In Berlin Scene, London, Music, unsigned myspace hype | Say something!
This seems to be a nice idea for a hangovery sunday: Nice music and English breakfast at the (to me yet unknown but instantly appealing) “Daft Pankow”, Falckensteinstr 42, Xberg.
With an afternoon acoustic set by The Michelles, three “Berlondon” boys who have it all: melodies, hooks, choirs, ska, pop, supergrassy, beachboysy “ba-ba-ba”-backgrounds.. And it will be sunny!
Unsigned Myspace hype: The infiltrators
March 17, 2007 on 9:02 pm by Thomas | In Music, unsigned myspace hype | Say something!
Smells like hits: Swedish producers with their unimitable talent to combine underground and mainstream. Clubtunes, optimized to the maximum sound, bouncy and driving, strange vocal hooks and a shiny neorave design. I hear Candi Staton meet Steve Bug, Detroit Grand Pubahs and French influences like Cassius or Ed Banger - check out The Inflitrators. Fits perfectly to this webfinding: Mikeys party on Last nights party.
Unsigned Myspace hype: Pictures of Shanghai
February 15, 2007 on 7:44 pm by Thomas | In Music, Stylewalker, unsigned myspace hype | Say something!
Just the other day I listened to one of my favourite albums: Solarscape and Starmarket. Indiemusic, but intense and somtimes complicated, a little melancholic, but not naive, full of power and surprises. And I thought, too bad, it’s been long that I didn’t find music like this.
Now, “Pictures of Shanghai” wanted to add me on Myspace and seriously, I am a little annoyed by the mass of bad music and disturbing mass bulletings á la “new mp3 online!” that I stopped adding bands. But listening to them made me feel like the other day when I turned the volume up and had the perfect rainy but angry weather soundtrack. Please check out Pictures of Shanghai and if you have a label, sign them, they are going to be succesful.
