This weekend, my mate Patrick Gräser will be part of “One night of confidence” – an old techno hero, Pascal Feos, will present his new album and also Patrick who gets more and more confident in his style of deep, rolling house inspired techno will show some of his new tracks. Enjoy also his new mixtape from february.

Comfort Fit – Polyshufflez and lots of other stuff
Also: Enjoy!
Continue reading
Tonight: Birdy Nam Nam and Crookers, WMF
This is a good line-up, especially Birdy Nam Nam who are a kick-ass, four headed DJ crew from France with lots of style and creativity. On four decks they manage to create entire songs, supertight and ready to dance. Their big achievement is to find ways in between turntable/nerdism and straight club feel. Together with Crookers and Léonard de Léonard this sounds like a night of sweat and fun.

The sound of Bar25
Is it now closed forever? The legendary Bar25 had some closing parties already, this august was another one. This open air, after hour party place, close to the river rents its land from the Berlin sanitation department and every year needs to negotiate a new contract. Depending on public will and the awareness that subculture is one of Berlin’s biggest assets, they might get a new for 2010, the pary will go on and we will see yet another closing party.
Here is a mix from this year’s last fest, by Dirty Döring – trippy, circuslike, dancy, dreamy a little balearic and minimal at the same time.

Excellent dubstep mix by Haito
This mix is fantastic, it presents the deep, warm and longing side of the dubstep, not the aggressive and wobbly part. Funny enough it’s to promote Haito’s new record which is rather tech-housy than dubby. Haito has been djing and producing since 1988 and now comes out on Boxer recordings.
Enjoy!

Kolt Siewerts: Spaß mit Bass
It’s the f**ng drum and the f** bass! Kolt Siewerts strikes again and gives us one massive jump up club banging drum n bass mix with lots of fun and smile. Starts off with a remix that might be “Ton, Steine, Scherben” and continues to some inyourface-attacks and doesn’t fear the souly moments either.
Besides this guy turns 33 on 20090909 – so it’s a present he has for us. Massive thanks and happy birthday!

Download “Spaß mit Bass”
If you like his style, here you can watch the video to his own smash hit “The flute tune”
Great Fabric Downloads
Check out Fabric’s page on Soundcloud, they have some nice tunes to give away. I especially like “We Nuh Run”
and the Ralph Lawson mix
Patrick Gräser: Squalid
It’s the second release on NIG (Nights in Gale) records and I love the record because it’s so diverse: there is a massive techno tune, some very dissected minmal soundscape techhouse thing by Tom Dicicco and a deep dubsteppy remix by David Harrow.
Now, it has gotten some very mentionable mentions from Japan and Italy, good feedback from Timo Maas and Laurent Garnier and, amongst others, charted by Ryan Elliot.
You can listen to Squalid and download it at whatpeopleplay or order it as good old vinyl at Juno
Here is Patrick’s latest mixtape!
You can book Patrick at Confidance booking or just follow him on MySpace or Soundcloud.
Fresh Stylewalker DJ mixes
In may, I played at the Webinale party and was quite excited because it took place at Week End club on top of Berlin with a brilliant soundsystem and DJ booth. The party was great and everybody danced plus I was lucky to have the mix recorded so here I can present two 30 minutes mixes, one opening house mix and one which is more dubsteppy and in the end loaded with hiphop classics. Enjoy!
The best Michael Jackson remixes
A true Stylewalker leans back. And waits and reads all the Michael Jackson posts and remixes and then selects the best for the reader. (the picture ist taken by the brilliant Ralph Uetzelhöffer who does very nice textportraits) Here we go:
LehtMoeJoe’s Beat it remix – in your face!
Bird Petersons Thriller remix – also very funky face
The Hood Internet / Ratatat Remix to Billie Jean – some kind of Roulé feely music sounds better with you’ish floor smoother
And finally a nice mash of “I want you back” with Lil’ Wayne (find more MJ mashs at Kickin Peanuts)
Boyz Noize – Eat it remix -heavy rock disco
Thriller Disco Tech Remix
– Prins Tomas space disco style, very close to the original
Louis La Roche Thriller remix
– another very compressed, tight floor filler with some fragments and happy moments
