There is a new E.P., one of three Coolzey puts out for free on the net this month, it’s called Soixante-Neuf which is, if I am not mistaken, French for Sixty-Nine.

“I realized that these three EP’s are sort of a trilogy of the three stages of life: youth, middle age, and death. Soixante Neuf is the darkest because in my mind, middle age is the darkest part of one’s life.”

Right now, Coolzey is on tour in the U.S., last stop is, chapeau, the Knitting factory in NYC.

(Selbst-)bewusste Texte, smarter Flow über fluffigen Beats, die an DJ Premier, Pete Rock oder die Beatnuts erinnern: “Early 90s east coast head nod meets late 80s old school hip hop made by schizophrenic Iowan possessed by gremlins” beschreibt sich der Mann aus Iowa (das Internet spült einfach alles an die Oberfläche).
