Wie bereits erwähnt , mische ich bei der Beck’s Gold Urban Experiences mit. Heute abend veranstalten wir wieder ein eigenes Event, und zwar die Präsentation des ersten Beck’s Gold Design-T-Shirts im Firmament Store. Der Künstler und Designer Dave Little wird vor Ort sein und signieren, außerdem gibt’s frisches Beck’s Gold und die ersten zehn Besucher bekommen eines der auf 500 Pieces limitierten Kollektion for free. Start ist um 19.30 im Firmament Store, Schröderstr. 8 in Berlin-Mitte. Kommt auf ein Bierchen vorbei!

Cold war places in Berlin: A documentary

In this video, Tom Littlewood takes us on a journey to places where the Cold War past of Berlin is still visible. So they go to Teufelsberg, an artificial hill where the NSA built a listening station in the 60ies to spy on the communist part of Berlin, consisting of strange big white balls on top of the hill. They takl with a former army commander and visit the bunker at airport Tempelhof where thousands of meters of war film burnt right after world war II. Great piece of work, entertaining and educating, I like.

A very nice branding combination as well: VBS teamed up with Palladium boots to produce this documentary. Taking the history of these french military boot brand into account, documentaries from interesting and forgotten places seem to represent Palladium pretty well.

“Streit! Konstruktive Kontroverse” (Beef – constructive controversy) is Social Media Week Berlin’s motto 2010, in this post we explain why we think it is a good subject and how we see the state of digital Streit today.

Social Media has become a buzzword, so prominent, many people are already sick of it. Social Media needs to be in every marketing campaign, Social Media is finally the utopia “the internet” (in the 90ies) and “Web 2.0” (in the 00 years) both couldn’t fulfill, Social Media can be done by everyone and everyone must do it unlesss he or she will fall into endless oblivion. Plus Obama used it. Obama!

We don’t think that that is all wrong nor are we sick of using all these handy tools to connect and interact, nor are we sick talking about it. But we want to take another stand, another perspective. That’s why we came up with the subject “Streit!”. Streit means conflict, controversy, beef! And we like it! Here is why.

Was ist die Social Media Week Berlin

Die Social Media Week ist eine Veranstaltungswoche, die aus mehreren Events besteht und im Februar 2009 zum ersten Mal in New York statt fand. Dieses Jahr soll sie außerdem in Sao Paolo, Toronto, San Francisco, London und Berlin statt finden. Ich wurde gefragt, ob ich da mitmischen will und nun legen wir los und organisieren euch ein schönes Social Media Festival in der ersten Februarwoche.

Wir dabei, die eine oder andere eigene Veranstaltung zu organisieren, so soll es eine Soundcloudparty geben, eine Enterprise 2.0 Veranstaltung, etwas über Social Entrepreneurship, und ein Future of Web Strategy Meetup. Außerdem werden wir versuchen, viele Events, die ohnehin statt finden, unter das Dach der Social Media Week zu holen. Ich selbst möchte eine Veranstaltung zum Thema “Streit” organisieren, denn ich finde, das kommt bei all den Harmonieträumen und positiven Zukunftsvisionen immer etwas zu kurz, dass sich auch mal jemand streitet, vor allem im Internet. Was im zweiten Schritt ja auch wieder positiv sein kann. Quod erat demonstrandum.

Also, save the date, in der ersten Februarwoche, lest das Blog und den Twitter und wenn ihr selbst was machen wollt, sagt Bescheid! Nächstes Treffen ist Donnerstag, 19:30 im Gorki Park, wer was machen will, kommt vorbei!

Weihnachtsmarkt im Rodeo

Gestern fand der zweite Sonntagsmarkt im Rodeo statt. Der Kuppelsaal des alten Postfuhramts war gefüllt mit kleinen Ständen und vielen Leuten, die sich durch Handgestricktes, hochwertig Gebranntes, einzelstück-designtes, Lederwaren, Shirts, Röcke, Figuren, Spiele, Holzzeug, Lampen, Frisbeescheiben und sonstige szenige Weihnachtsgeschenke wühlten.

Dazu gab es Glühwein und Hip Hop. Hier ein paar Bilder, ich hätte gerne mehr Zeit gehabt!

Trabayo ist vier Wochen online

Trabayo ist mein nicht mehr ganz so neues Internetbaby, das ich hier schon mal erwähnt habe. Es geht darum, zu sagen was man kann, das andere brauchen könnten: Cocktails mixen, Babys sitten, Websiten fixen, Rasen mähen usw.

Im ersten Schritt haben wir ein sehr einfaches System entwickelt, mit dem Beschreibungen und Headlines innerhalb von Kategorien erstellt werden können. Fehlt eine Kategorie, kann man den “Fehlt was”-Button benutzen. Interessiert man sich für einen der Services kann man mit dem Anbieter Kontakt aufnehmen. Die Trennung von Service und Person ermöglicht eine sehr einfache und dennoch granulare Privatsphäreneinstellung, sodass genau angegeben werden kann, wer man ist, wo die Dienstleistung angeboten wird und wer das sehen darf.

Wir sind noch am Anfang und können auch nicht so schnell entwickeln wie ein voll finanziertes Startup, denn zur Zeit bezahlen wir alles selbst und arbeiten neben unseren eigentlichen Jobs daran. Unsere Vision ist aber ein System aufzubauen, das es sehr leicht und angenehm macht, den eigenen Service darzustellen, konkrete Services für andere Vorzuschlagen oder Dienstleistungen zu beschreiben, die andere brauchen könnten und die es daher geben sollte.

Dazu gibt es regelmäßige Updates auf unserem Trabayo-Blog, z.B. wer außer mir noch hinter Trabayo steht, wie wir damit irgendwann auch mal Geld verdienen wollen und dass wir nächsten Samstag, am 21.11., eine Party im Dave Lombardo feiern. This is a good line-up, especially Birdy Nam Nam who are a kick-ass, four headed DJ crew from France with lots of style and creativity. On four decks they manage to create entire songs, supertight and ready to dance. Their big achievement is to find ways in between turntable/nerdism and straight club feel. Together with Crookers and Léonard de Léonard this sounds like a night of sweat and fun.

Elektromotor in einer alten Vespa

Vorletztes Wochenede entdeckte statt des Ladens, bei dem ich meine Vespa kaufte (“Vespino”, in der Kastanienallee) einen neuen Shop. Sehr zu meinem Schrecken, baute ich doch darauf, dass ich dort jederzeit mit Problemen hingehen und sie gelöst finden sollte.

Gottseidank war der Schock voreilig, denn die Leute von 667 – one step ahead of the devil, einem extrem entspannten Modelabel aus Düsseldorf, machen nur temporär Station im Vespino, während die Vespa-Reparaturen weiter gehen. 667 haben eine große Rollerleidenschaft und entsprechend robust, praktisch wie auch stylish sind ihre Klamotten – und erschwinglich!

Aber das nur am Rande, viel mehr hat es mich gefreut, dass einer der anwesenden Gäste mir vor der Kamera erklärte, wie der Elektromotor in seiner alten Vespa funktioniert, der er selbst eingebaut hat. Guckst du hier:

What is Beck’s Gold Urban Experiences?

Starting from tonight, “Beck’s Gold Urban Experiences” will be exploring urban ways of customizing reality today. It is sponsored by Beck’s Gold and supposed to reach out to artists and creative people for producing ideas and lots of beautiful content to put the spotlight on interesting approaches and enrich an entertaining discussion within this field.

The campaign will be lasting at least during 2010 and consists of several events and online documentation and interaction. First, there will be three so-called “workspaces” in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, starting tonight in Berlin. Artists are invited to shape their vision of customizing reality and to present them to an audience which hopefully interacts with the created pieces. The artists, like e.g. Kim Köster, Klub7, Tracknfield or Balestra Berlin create a room filled with pieces which exist, shine or interact with the people. All of the artists have a background of creating art in a modern, reflecting and urban way in a sense of technology and interaction. Tonight, there will be a breadbaking experiment, lifesound recordings and lots of visual approaches to shaping urban environments. Check out some impressions from the preparations:

The sound of Bar25

Is it now closed forever? The legendary Bar25 had some closing parties already, this august was another one. This open air, after hour party place, close to the river rents its land from the Berlin sanitation department and every year needs to negotiate a new contract. Depending on public will and the awareness that subculture is one of Berlin’s biggest assets, they might get a new for 2010, the pary will go on and we will see yet another closing party.
Here is a mix from this year’s last fest, by Dirty Döring – trippy, circuslike, dancy, dreamy a little balearic and minimal at the same time.

eRockit: An electric bike to race cars with

The eRockit is a mixture between bike and electric motorcycle. You still use your legs to get it in motion but merely use your power as a trigger for the electric speed. It goes up to 80km/h so it can even be used on the autobahn. Moreover it looks fantastic and sounds like future (in this case the furture is noiseless). Of course, it’s a prototype and if you want to get one your own, it would be a toy worth 25000 EUR. But to be able to accelerate faster than a car on a traffic sign could be worth it.

Next weekend in Berlin: Atoms&Bits festival

Next weekend, a bunch of friends of mine will organize the atoms&bits Camp, a weekend full of making, doing, questioning and understanding. It’s part of the Atoms & Bits festival, a decentralized event that stretches over 10 days (September 18-27th), taking place in different locations from Berlin to Brooklyn, from Munich to Montreal.

atoms&bits Camp is one of the central points of the a&b Festival. Around 400 participants will meet to discuss, plan projects, and to network. Borrowing from the Barcamp format, all participants will actively engage in the event; the presentations (“sessions”) are interactive and created by the participants themselves. In the open “Barcamp” area, participants will organize completely free sessions. Moreover, the 5 central themes of atoms&bits Festival will be addressed and discussed in designated and curated rooms. Spatial proximity and thematic ties will ensure intensive crossover among these topics.

Das große Abschlusskonzert des Bandwettbewerbs “Nazis aus dem Takt bringen” findet am 6. September ab 14 Uhr im Stadion “An der Alten Försterei des 1. FC Union Berlin e.V.” statt. Die drei Gewinnerbands COSMA, HeMaTom und Empty Guns werden gemeinsam mit vielen namhaften Künstlern ihre starken Stimmen gegen Rechts präsentieren. Das Konzert ist kostenlos!

Das Line-up hat es in sich:
Beim kostenlosen Konzert in der Alten Försterei präsentieren neben den drei Gewinnerbands Dein Lieblingssoundsystem (DJ Binichnich aka Harris & Sido (Host Mc), Rainer von Vielen, OOMPH!, Myriad Creatures, RENFT, Mic Donet & QuietStorm. Und Jeanette Biedermann ist auch dabei, na gut.

Es ist schön zu sehen dass es immer wieder Leute gibt, die mit dem bloggen anfangen. Manche hören auf, bei manchen schläft es ein, aber immer wieder entdeckt jemand Neues die Freude an der eigenen kleinen Seite, auf der man sich ausdrücken kann wie man will. Da hilft auch kein Facebook oder twittern; dein Blog ist dein Blog, nirgendwo bist du freier als auf deiner eigenen Plattform.

Dachten sich auch Anne und Tobi, als sie endlich die schöne Domain driftwood.de, die Tobi schon länger inne hatte als Adresse für ihren Blog Driftwood zu nutzen begannen. Und so ähnlich wie Pärchen auf dem Flohmarkt zusammen die schönsten Stände haben (er die Schallplatten, sie die Kleidchen), so verhält es sich auch hier. Schöne Dinge kommen zusammen, wenn Tobi über Musik und Anne über Mode schreibt.

Letztere hat dabei einen schönen do-it-yourself-Ansatz: Bewusst geht sie mit den Hypes in den Modeblogs um und kommt auf viele Möglichkeiten, den letzten Schrei mit einfachen Mitteln selbst herzustellen. Z.B. Schulterpolster selber zu machen oder ein Kleid von Kick mit Nadel und Faden zu drapieren so dass es Dries van Noten mäßig daher kommt.

Außerdem freue ich mich schon sehr auf die von Tobi persönlich angekündigten DJ Mixe und sonstige Elektronik-Musik-Tipps. Der Mann ist nämlich ein äußerst fähiger DJ.

It’s the second release on NIG (Nights in Gale) records and I love the record because it’s so diverse: there is a massive techno tune, some very dissected minmal soundscape techhouse thing by Tom Dicicco and a deep dubsteppy remix by David Harrow.

Now, it has gotten some very mentionable mentions from Japan and Italy, good feedback from Timo Maas and Laurent Garnier and, amongst others, charted by Ryan Elliot.

And here are some hints for this years Fête de la musique 2009 Berlin. Of course, I could also open a window and blast the streets with some Drum’n’Bass, all legal today!

Hip Hop is important this year, many stages feature local acts. The most interesting in my view ist Word Up – Festival für Vielfalt und Toleranz, at Badstr / Behmstr, Wedding, with Zeugen Der Zeit (conscious, politischer hip hop, reggae), Gitta Spitta (underground rap von duman & gigaflow), Erko (hip hop), DJ Mesia (hip hop, electro), Sebi (flying steps)

Junge Helden im Audiolarium

Junge Helden is an organization aiming to promote organ donation amongst young people. It is all about putting a card in your wallet saying that you are willing to donate your organs in case you are dead. Not a big deal, right? Of course everybody can say no, reality is that most people do not know about the necessity of carrying such a card although they would be willing to help other people.

Junge Helden do a great job in engaging celebreties. This weekend, june 20th, will be a party with Jürgen Vogel, Beatsteaks, Benno Fürmann, Max Herre, Mareile Höppner, Loretta Stern and Jasmin Gerat (all quite well known in Germany) serving drinks or wardrobing. Ian Pooley, Superfitness and others will be playing music, it takes place at Audiolarium, Bessermerstr 2-14, Tempelhof, Berlin

Am 22.05. eröffnete das neue Restaurant der Sage Macher, in der Köpenickerstr 18, direkt an der Spree. Großes altes Industriegelände, sehr groß, sehr weitläufig, schön eingerichtet, super Essen. War eine tolle Eröffnung mit sehr vielen Leuten, netter Stimmung und guten Gesprächen. Zum Beispiel traf ich jenen Spirituosenhändler, der dem KDW den teuersten (7000 EUR) Cognac verkauft und außerdem einen pensionierten Filmemacher, der jetzt auf Kho Samui lebt. Von den Freunden mal ganz abgesehen.

Wenn ich da in der Nähe arbeiten würde, käme ich sicher mal mittags oder nach der Arbeit dort vorbei. So wird es für mich wohl die Ausnahme oder der besondere Anlass bleiben, dort hinzugehen.

Körpervermischungs-Installation

Samstag wird Tine Papendick ein Testsetup einer Körpervermischungs-Installation im Spielraumschaufenster aufbauen. Ihr könnt euch mit anderen Leute verdrehen, vermischen, überlagern oder auch einfach nur ein Bier mit uns trinken. Keine Party sondern das TO-DO bevor es in die Nacht geht. Das ganze findet statt im Spielraum (Tataaa!).

It’s going to be a pretty active weekend, I am not talking about riots. But there is lots of cool stuff going on in Berlin this weekend: Tonight, thursday, there is the money printing contest which will take place at Mariannenplatz 21 in Kreuzberg 36. (“Who hasn’t thought about it? The perfect solution in this time of global meltdown and financial disaster! We need to make our own money!”) Great, arty and subversive idea by Czentrifuga.

Tomorrow night, I will be playing at CRACKERS, Heidestrasse 5, a friend is organizing a party for friends, come if you’re a friend! (see the flyer to the left).

Then, saturday and sunday, I will be attending Politcamp09, a barcamp about politics. I’ll try to post an English summary here.

Likemind is a loose group aof people meeting up to enjoy coffee and conversation at an unusual time. Every third friday of a month, at 9 am, people meet and enjoy a sponsored coffee, talking about personal and project stuff, web-related and non-web-related.

Café Solvey

For the most time I have been in my current flat, the little store in the ground floor was filled with a computer store. The guys where nice, even had some hints for me from time to time but obviously they did not suceed with their business and closed last year. Some months later people started to build a café there. This was of great delight to us since we have many bars in our neighborhood but no nice cafés to sit and read newspapers.

In september, Café Solvey opened finally and we instantly became friends with Solvey and her family who run the place. It’s warm and cosy, with very old porcelain, self-made cake, soft armchairs, a kids corner with toys and a fake, yet very well done chemin. And when Solvey asked me to help her out with a website I could not say no. Jimdo was the system of choice to build it fast and easy and when I see now that Solvey herself (who is not a big fan of these “computer things”) edits the events on her page and adds products, I know it was the right decision – Jimdo obviously easy to use. And I earned myself a couple of coffees, breakfasts and cakes!

Liveblogging from “The BOBS”

Yesterday, I attended the ceremony of Deutsche Welle to award the Best of Blogs (theBOBS) which, according to the jury, are the best blogs in different national categories, as well as in video and audio in 2009.

Peter aka thewavingcat blogged live with a very fascinating tool called Coveritlive. It has a very smooth editor surface to write, comment and adjust stuff and codes which can be embedded in other websites where your twitterlike short news are flowing in and can be commented. He worked really hard in typing down the many informations from the stage, approving comments AND answering questions from a worldwide crowd. Respect! Also, Stefanie Suren and Andreas Schepers did a good job in guiding the audience through the evening with a plimpse of Hollywood feel: “And the winner is..!”

Was there too much show and glam and too little seriousness? Especially taking into account that e.g. the Chinese jury member was not allowed to travel to Germany or Cédric Kalonji from Kongo talked about war and repressions in his country? That less jury members and more bloggers should be invited? Yes and no I’d say. All of the blogs represent the myriad stories that take place every day, happening to all of us. Impossible to do justice on every unrighteousness touched yesterday. Plus: At least here in Berlin, while celebrating blogs as a great thing everybody should have some fun. But: More unknown bloggers on stage please, maybe jury memebers could be represented with video statements and instead the winners be invited.

Overall, it was a very nice event, not to crowded but packed with interesting people from all over the world. The decisions of the jury can, like all personal decisions, be questioned to if they really picked the best blogs but it was certainly a selection of honest, liberal thinking writers with loyal readers who write from their hearts and represent a voice for the people, often in countries where “the people” do not really have a voice. Browse through all the winners and feel inspired and read a transcript of yesterdays live blogging.

Ford Fiesta commercial 2008 song

Many ask: “What’s this track in the ford fiesta commercial with the pink car in front of many moving tv screens” or “Wie heißt der Song aus der Ford Werbung”? It’s “Transient” by Pluxus, Swedes who live partly in Berlin and come out on the label Pluxemburg. The song is very groovy, deep, longing, and a little glossy, perfect match for the commercial. Props to Ogilvy London to buy it!

Ofrin – On shore remain

I alreay mentioned Ofrin here as a very, very good band. Unfortunately I could not see their concert at Glashaus but on Hobnox is a nice feature about the Israelean duo in Berlin who just released their second album (produced by Eddie Stevens) and who are on tour right now.

The Evolution2 is the sequel of the first, very susccesful talent competition Evolution by Hobnox. The contest is coming closer to the final decisions, though it is still time to submit projects to enter the finals.

While the Evo2 is running hot right now, the winners of the first contest are presenting the results of their work since winning the contest at the big Hobnox launch party and evolution festival in february 08. Missy Magazine, a mag about pop, politics and style from a feministic viewpoint is now available as a good old glossy print mag, while Boombaker, a very energetic live drum’n’bass/breakbeat band are on tour right now.

Here, I’d like to present some of the most interesting pieces and explain the rules in a nutshell.

Evolution2 features a different kind of contest setup. For 10 weeks now and for two more following weeks, in the categories music, film and culture a weekly winner is being voted by the Hobnox users and get prizes like recording material or professional software. Together with 12 other projects in each category who are going to be selected by a jury they enter the final round. Between 01.12.08 and 14.12.08 users can then vote one project in each category who will receive 30000$ to support future projects.

So, who’s hot this time? One of my favourites is Suchtmaschine, noisy and emotional instrumental post rock, reminding of Mogwai and the like. Here is their song “Kumasi“:

I also very much liked the electronic soundscapes of Fecr-I Ati, winner of the 7th week.

And of course I like a project submitted in the culture category: Guerilla projections, who do exactly what you expect from the name.

So, Evolution2 in my opinion has even more quality then the first Evolution. Go there, vote for the stuff you like, the people behind the projects will be very thankful.

Berliner Straße exhibition

The most exciting moment of Berlin Art Forum is already over? Probably. Because the furious and multicreative festival that international artists put up yesterday at the opening of Berliner Straße at .BHC has been a firework of wonderful moments. Rooms, so many impossible to count, each one especially designed by a an artist or a group with painted walls, installations, videos, bands, performances.. It was a blast: A man playing drums in big yellow box, faces out of rotten potatoes, concerts with looped beatbox and casio guitars and many photographies, grafitti like street art pieces and last but not least a big and arty looking crowd hanging out in a party atmosphere with drinks, talks, dance. Enjoy a little slide show of impressions.

Tonight the movie Let’s Make Money celebrates its premiere, will be in cinemas from tomorrow, go watch it! Moreover the excellent Ofrin will celebrate the release party of their second album at Glashaus. They took two days to prepare the venue, its a big dark cube now, ready for an intense show of voice, electronics and softly disturbing instruments.

Berlin Webweek begins

The city is always crowded, especially on weekends but this time there will be internetsters from all over the world coming to Berlin to celebrate the “Berlin Web Week”. Just like on Sonar, many events have gathered around the Web 2.0 Expo taking place next week in Berlin.

Wednesday night, the week started with a little drinkunp organized by the Web 2.0 Expo staff, Lifestream.fm and Mister Wong (thank you Janetti and Jodi!). This morning we had a nice Likemind at Oberholz, PANORAMA3000 and The waving cat had invited people to drink coffee and start the last day of the week smoothly.

This weekend is also Barcamp Berlin where people come together spontaneously to interact – everybody should be involved and take part actively, of course one main subject is the internet, but it also hits science, politics, business. Tonight there is a warm up party at Al Hamra, tomorrow and sunday is the camp and numerous parties and get-togethers.

Berlin Calling premiere party

The Berlin Calling premiere at Kulturbrauerei rocked. It was packed, people laughed and clapped a lot and the following party at Maria am Ufer took the people on a trip into the world of the movie. Sascha Funke played, Paul Kalkbrenner presented a live set with songs from the movie which are the kind of techno music I love so much: Powerful, massive, yet very longing and soulful. Shir Khan’s XlR8 mix

Many, many tracks did he put together this time. My man Shir Khan managed to find some time for a superb dj mix for the XLR8 podcast series. Quite an output for a man who not only plays shows like a maniac, but also runs the Blog Berlin Battery with lots of exclusive Mp3s and hosts a weekly radio show, “Soundgarden” on Fritz.

The tracklist is exquisite, Shir Khan features almost 80 songs with tracks by Diskokaine, Tomboy, Adamski, Sirius Mo, Plasticman, Malente, Egoexpress, Surkin and many others.

Tomorrow: Virtual Worlds Camp @Frogster IP

Tomorrow I’ll be talking about virtual worlds and social reasons for escaping into them at the Virtual worlds camp. The camp will take place at Frogster IP, in Hardenbergstraße 9a, Berlin, from 11.00h to 16:00h. I’m talking at 14:15, you can watch the whole conference on Hobnox.

Beside me, there will be other experts, like Computec Media AG CEO Johannes Sevket Gözalan, Sunny Park from Frogster Korea or Mirko Caspar from Metaversum, talking about virtual worlds, gaming in general, promotion and business models within that area.

Pimpin’ aint easy – from Hong Kong to Berlin

Now this is a great story. Here’s a kid, from a German small town, Göttingen. He becomes a dj and is obessed with training with the decks. He gets really good, becomes a champion. Plays all over Germany, Europe, US. Goes on a tour to Asia – and stays there, playing regularly at parties in Hong Kong.

His name is Kid Fresh and I already wrote about him. Looking at the pictures on the partyblog accompanying the “Pimpin’ ain’t easy” parties in Hong Kong, he deals with a very fancy party crowd there.

Tonight he’ll be playing at Scala, Friedrichstr. Pimpin’ ain’t easy? In Kid Fresh’s case, this might be untrue.

There is a big club dying and summer goodbye saying this weekend in Berlin. 103 Club is closing tonight, the Fire club as well, Ritter Butzke ends the summerseason with Grindcore, Teichmann und Dohse and we have the open air finishing with Karneval der Verpeilten on sunday. What’s on this weekend in Berlin?

Trotz des eher bescheidenen Wetters lassen sich die umtriebigen Partymachers Berlins nicht beirren und starten jetzt, da sowohl die Berliner aus dem Urlaub wieder da als auch viele Sommertouristen immer noch da sind, richtig durch.

Nachdem die Bar25 in ihrem vielleicht letzten Jahr des Bestehens durch Filmvorführungen, Showcases, Modeschauen und allerlei weitere Mainstreamveranstaltungen noch einmal besonders viele Gäste in den Genuss ihres doch einzigartigen Flairs und Ortes kommen lassen möchte (dabei natürlich auch riskiert, ihr freakiges Stammpublikum zu verlieren), geht es an anderen Open Air-Orten etwas undergroundiger zu:

Auf zwei historischen Kohlenfrachtkähnen feiert die Spreekindcrew in der Nähe des Treptower Parks. Bei Sonnenuntergang geht es los, diesen Samstag spielen u.a. DJ Gene und Delfonic.

Immer eine Reise wert ist der wunderschöne Funkpark in der Nalepastraße (das ist eigentlich schon Karlshorst), eine Strandanlage mit Bar und Trampolin und angeschlossenem Club, der mit einer tollen Anlage beeindruckt. Dieses Wochenende kommt die Connaisseurcrew aus Frankfurt vorbei und spielt durch bis Sonntag abend.

Der eigentliche Open-Air-Tag ist natürlich der Sonntag, hier treffen sich ab mittag Afterhour~~Gänger mit Rave~~Kaffeetrinkern am Nachmittag. Diesen Sonntag konkurrieren gleich zwei große Events mit Staraufgebot:
Our Park mit u.a Jesse Rose, M.A.N.D.Y. und Hendrik Schwarz zugunsten von Terre des Hommes am Planetarium an der Prenzlauer Allee, derselbe Ort also, an dem traditionell der Karneval der Verpeilten den Open Air Sommerabschluss feiert.

Außerdem gibt es am Sonntag eine der seltenen Gelegenheiten, den Überproduzenten Martin Buttrich (u.a. für Loco Dice und Timo Maas) live zu erleben, bei der Cocoon@Strandgut-Party am Oststrand. Mit von der Partie sind die nicht minder unbekannten André Galluzzi, Tobi Neumann und Der Dritte Raum. Vielleicht schaut ja auch Labelpapa Sven Väth vorbei.

Dies ist nur ein kleiner Ausschnitt der vielen Berliner Open Air Parties, zu hoffen bleibt, dass es auch dieses Jahr wieder ein Patentblau Open Air geben wird. Gerade die Patentblau-Macher legen viel Wert auf Details wie außergewöhnliche Orte und outdoortaugliche Soundsysteme – ein Fakt, der bei vielen liebevoll improvisierten Draußen-Festen oftmals auf der Strecke bleibt.
