Die Next08 liegt nun etwas mehr als eine Woche zurück und über die Konferenz ist viel geschrieben und gemeint worden: “Gute Organisation”, “zu viel Business, zu wenig Vision”, “gutes Essen”, “schwaches Wlan”, “zu laut”, “beeindruckende Ansammlung von Brancheninsidern”, “Schlipsträger, die keinen Schlips tragen”, etc.

Einge Fragen bleiben aber immer offen und die Macher stricken, nach einer wohlverdienten Pause, sicher schon an Konzepten für das kommende Jahr. Eine Frage jedoch, die meines Wissens verblüffenderweise selten öffentlich gestellt wurde, ist die nach einem Live-Stream aus den Panels oder von der Konferenz allgemein. So, it’s not all gold that’s iPhone and with all the hysteria about this product, many flaws should not be forgotten.- So here is my ultimate list of what’s missing or not good or what actually sucks on the iPhone, even after hacking or unbreaking or simunlocking it with Ziphone. If I should be mistaken or just too stupid to find it, please correct me in the comments.

Downloading files - apparently there is an application for it but so far I can’t make it work.
Why is there no obvious file management?
There’s no flash in Safari browser
The camera can’t record video and until now there’s no application which does it good enough (e.g. with sound)
The camera is not very good for fotos either.
You can’t send calender items
You can’t subscribe to podcasts
You cannot pick a song from your library as ringtone!!
No radio, no dvbt
3,5 mm line-in for headphones only works with the slim apple one. Normal hi-fi line in will be too thick too fit into the slot.
No copy-paste!!
No counting of letters while writing sms, no draft saving for sms, cannot edit sent sms and resend them
No gps, no umts (3g)
Autocompletion of words is far away from T9 level
Where’s the DJ application (pitch and mix..)?!

Awesomely intense singer Nneka in a very personal interview, questions via webcam by various editors. Most fascinating is how the talk voice who sounds so young and naive changes to the singing voice which is overwhelmingly strong and confident.

“Derzeit tauchen vermehrt spezielle Toolkits auf, mit denen Hacker Fehler in populären Web-Anwendungen oder serverseitigen Skriptsprachen ausnutzen, um Schadcodes auf Websites zu platzieren.” - habe ich gerade bei UD Media gelesen. Der Scheiß-Hack hat anscheinend System und tatsächlich was mit Wordpress zu tun - irgendwelche Scriptkiddies haben neue Spielzeuge bekommen.

Ich muss Wordpress updaten. Vorher: Datenbank sichern. Und dann kann ich auch eigentlich gleich das Site-Design ein bisschen pimpen. Wann ich das machen soll, weiß ich zwar noch nicht, aber ich geh mal Schritt für Schritt vor. Bin ja eh aus dem Google-Index, es sind also nur Freunde hier! Also, ich blogge in intimer Atmosphäre normal weiter und versuche derweil, das Ding hier wieder auf Vordermann zu bringen. Seht es mir nach und stay tuned!

Also gut, Stylewalker wurde gehackt. Aber nicht um auf irgendwelche wahnsinnig wertvollen Daten zuzugreifen sondern nur um eine verdammte Riesenzeile Spam in die footer.php einzufügen. Da ist ungefähr so, als hätte mir jemand in den Flur gekackt. Nachts, ohne dass ich es merke.

Krieg ich raus durch eine Mail von Google, denn die haben es eher gemerkt. Kurz gesagt:Stylewalker.net ist aus dem Google-Index und zwar fuer mindestens 30 Tage bis sich jemand meine Beteuerung, ich hätte nichts damit zu tun, ansehen kann. Alle für also, die einfach “Stylewalker” bei Google eingeben und auf den ersten Link tippen, bleibt die Seite duester, denn der erste Stylewalker Link ist jetzt entweder irgendwas japanisches oder ein schlimmer Trance DJ, der seine Seite seit vier Jahren nicht aktualisiert hat. Fuck!

Wahrscheinlich sind die Spammer, die wohl nicht auf der Suche nach einem optimalen Werbeumfeld für ihre Versicherungsprodukte waren, durch eine simple Sicherheitslücke in Wordpress eingedrungen. Also: Updaten!

Ich fühle mich so missbraucht!

In der Panik habe ich erstmal alle Passwörter geändert, was dazu führte, dass auf einmal die ganze Seite nicht zu erreichen war. Danke für die lieben Nachfrage-Mails! Das war mal ein schönes Gefühl.

So, jetzt gehe ich auf die Next08 und hoffe, so wie gestern auf der Facebook Garage wenigstens einen oder zwei nette Menschen zu treffen. Währenddessen werde ich darüber sinnieren, was das alles wohl zu bedeuten hat. Höchstwahrscheinlich, dass es Zeit für ein Update und ein neues Layout ist. Wer das hier liest, ist übrigens super! Er hat nämlich NICHT “Stylewalker” bei Google eingegeben, sondern samt “.net” in die Adresszeile.

It was last December that I went to Sweden but not until now was I able to post some pictures from a fashion store that has influenced contemporary fashion like hardly any other in Europe. Weekday promotes what you might call “Stockholm style”, like slim jeans, egg-shaped coats, fine and cute dresses and reduced minimalistic shirts. Among offering premium brands like Acne they run their own labels like Cheap Monday which is much more affordable or the new brand Qoniak. I spent hours in their store on Götgatan in the cool neighborhood “Söder” which not only has a very clean and inviting interior with a big vintage area (something I personally like very much) but also a little tailoring desk. Actually, they don’t like people taking pictures in their store but after explaining what Stylewalker is like, they let me do it. Thanks! Enjoy pictures after the click.
