Justine Electra, Matt John, Liebe ist cool, Oliver Koletzki and many others. 12am to 22pm, it’s free. Be responsible and take away your litter! The weather will not be great, I guess, but dry. See you there!

Letztes Wochenende fand ja das 9to5-Festival im Radialsystem Berlin statt, das große Get-together digitaler Bohemians, Internet-Lebenskünstler und Spontan-kreativ-in-den-Tag-hineinlebenden-und-sich-über-Wasser-Haltenden. Ich wollte ja hin, aber war einfach zu platt (auch das kommt mal vor). Daher weiß ich selbst nicht drüber zu berichten, finde aber das folgende Video richtig schick und interessant: Ein kleiner Einblick ins Event und eine schöne Diskussion über die Internet-Selbstständigkeit, via Wirres und Watch Berlin.

La Fraise habe ich ja hier schon ein paar Mal erwähnt, da ist es mir mir nicht besonders schwer gefallen, auf dieses Angebot einzugehen: Drei T-Shirts finden, die mir gut gefallen und darauf verlinken.

Noch ein paar Worte zu LaFraise? Na klar: LaFraise ist eine T-Shirt-Design-Community, die sich schön über die Jahre entwickelt hat, bevor sie unlängst von Spreadshirt gekauft wurde. Angefangen hat alles beim Programmierer und T-Shirt Fan Patrice Cassard in Paris, der seine Freunde einlud, über T-Shirt Designs abzustimmen und sie dann herzustellen. Inzwischen gibt es tausende Besucher täglich und unzählige Designer, die hier ihre Vorschläge für fantasievolle T-Shirts hochladen.

Diese werden zunächst nach Umsetzbarkeit und Qualität geprüft (Als Hilfe für Designer gibt es auch Templates, Designvorlagen für die richtigen Größen, Platzierung etc.). Sind die Kriterien erfüllt, werden sie freigeschaltet, um sieben Tage lang von der Community bewertet zu werden. Aus den am besten bewerteten Designs wählt das LaFraise-Team drei Motive pro Woche aus und produziert sie als T-Shirts. Der Designer erhält 1000€, dafür darf LaFraise das T-Shirt 500 mal verkaufen. I am back from Budapest where I spent five days to see Sziget festival. And I am still pretty mind-blown by the incredible dimensions of this bastard of a festival. Situated on an island (”sziget” means island) the visitors find over 20 stages and countless attractions, shops, food spaces, recreational areas, fairs and secret plazes - it takes more than an hour to take the whole tour around the island. And the funniest thing is: People camp everywhere. It’s not like a festival with camping. It’s like camping with a festival.

The festival goes on for a week and there are people who actually spend almost all their time there. But the festival wristbands reveal many festival visitors also in parks, museums or in Budapest’s hot springs. All Budapest seems to be Sziget festival during these days, providing an impressive backdrop of art-nouveau, socialist and post-socialist architecture.

There is a nice blog, updated daily by Zeit magazine (in German) about Sziget, which I recommend, so I won’t be writing much here (to sum it up: We had good weather and bad, healthy food and greasy, good music and not so good.. ), just provide you with a short movie I cut together and some foto impressions. Es ging sogar als Pressemeldung und Blogeintrag raus und ich bin stolz, auch darauf hinzuweisen: Ab sofort bin ich bei A&B FACE2NET mitverantwortlich für den Bereich Digital Conversations.

Ich hoffe darauf hinarbeiten zu können, dass dies keine leere Phrase bleibt (Update: Ein Rückblick auf Projekte wie die Roten Blogs oder die Programmwerkstatt für die SPD, dem Mutterblog oder auf die Dinge, die da kommen für das BMAS kann diese Sorge durchaus entkräften), sondern wir tatsächlich als Kommunikationsagentur helfen können, Gespräche im Internet sichtbar und verständlich zu machen und zusammen mit den Kunden Strukturen zu entwickeln, um angemessen darauf zu reagieren und die Crowd-Intelligence da draußen zu nutzen. Die Erfahrung, die wir hier vor allem mit Projekten aus der politischen Sphäre gewonnen haben, sollte dabei durchaus hilfreich sein.

I was a bit unlucky on Berlin festival, cause I had a little accident with my bike (looking forward to having the scars) and thus missed the best parts of the festival: friday night at Tape and saturday afternoon with Go!team, Peaches and Uffie. Two nice events tonight I would like to recommend: Delfonic hosts a listening session of the coming Eva Be record: „Moving Without Traveling“ (I wonder if the Jamiroquai association was on purpose) soon out on Sonar Kollektiv in his cosy record store Oye Records. Certainly, there will be a nice crowd and atmosphere. Weather is good so you can stand around on Oderberger Straße, drink beer, listen to music and talk about - hey, whatever you want to talk about!

The other is Sick Sinus playing at Mädcheninternat, a former Kindergarten right where Deep club used to be. Being around 20:00h at either place would be a good choice. Plus: you’ll get home at a civil time.
