Party Ben - Sixx Mixx
August 31, 2005 on 9:24 pm by Thomas | In DJ mixes, Music, Webfindings | 3 CommentsI was looking for a Rihanna - Pod de replay mashup and found this interesting mix by Party Ben: Sixx Mixx 9, really new, too, 26th august. Here:
WHOOPS, I FORGOT TO PLAY 99 LUFT PROBLEMS.
Unfortunately Rihana’s sweet voice isn’t there, but the man has mixing skills, a brilliant melange of all sorts of contemporary pop hits, very mashup and bastardy.

Political communication
August 30, 2005 on 9:33 am by Thomas | In Politics, Publicity / Marketing | Say something!
The US-campaigns had some viral succceses like the Jib-Jab-movie that got watched millions of times and also in Germany there are some movies around that deal with our future politics.
DJ Shir Khan
I like this one so much I made it my ringtone! Now I keep calling myself to listen to it. It’s so easy, funky, fluffy and dancy and has a brilliant start, perfect for a ringtone melody.

Meinungsmacher - Another blog of mine
August 29, 2005 on 3:36 pm by Thomas | In General, Science | 1 Comment
Book CoverWww.meinungsmacherblog.de is the blog I set up for the book I contributed to: “Die neuen Meinungsmacher - Weblogs als Herausforderung für Kampagne, Marketing, PR und Medien” by Dr. Ansgar Zerfaß und Dietrich Boelter, published by Nausner&Nausner. Comes out September 2005, 192 pages, ISBN 3-901402-45-4, 12 € (that’s cheap for so much science!).
Social Software, Corporate Weblogs, Corporate Communications, Agenda Setting, Opinion leaders, podcasts, media-for-the-masses, bloggings vs journalism and so on are the buzzwords.
All the science basically is by Dr. Zerfaß, case studies and the business part by Mr Boelter and my part was mainly to surf the web and find interesting stories and to write them down neatly. A lot of work but at last a lot of fun, too. You should read (if you read German) it is really interesting.

Party beneath Alexanderplatz
August 22, 2005 on 5:16 pm by Thomas | In Berlin Scene, General | 2 CommentsThe Alexanderplatz is one of the largest places in Berlin, former center of the East and home of the famous Fernsehturm. Beneath is a huge area with metro station, shops and some forgotten tunnels that are practically unused now.
Somebody told us some guys would have a party there, that is was not official and ergo very illegal. The police in Berlin is pretty liberal so you can take the risk, still, we where like 100% sure that this party would be busted by the police by one o’clock, latest.
Around three o’clock there were like 150 people dancing like crazy in this superunderground place you could reach and leave only by escalators. A massive soundsystem, a bar, pumping tech-house - a perfect night.
Poetry Slam at Watergate Club
August 22, 2005 on 4:58 pm by Thomas | In Berlin Scene, Friends, General, Stylewalker | 2 CommentsOne of the most beautiful clubs in Berlin is the Watergate right next to Oberbaumbrücke. Last thursday I attended the second “Barhocker”-session there with 10 artists reading poems and playing some accoustic music. Among them my friend Yaneq, writer, rapper and overall entertainer. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, and the really interesting people made this an inspiring evening..

DJ Humus

I met him a week ago on the release party of DJ Shir Khans project Tolcha’s new record. I like the record and the concert was nice.
Even nicer was getting to know DJ Humus, a DJ from Tel Aviv who now lives in Berlin. A really nice and interesting guy with lots of love for music and actually a taste similar to mine.
Check his website and listen to his mixes! I like especially the
Sweatshop Remix in its urban and modern funkyness!
Ohh that´s a nice one again. I love the De-Bug Podcast, lately it’s my main source for new music. And they picked another pearl from Paris: Phil Stumpf, part of Duplex 100, born in Germany who lives in Paris with is pumping Insert Summer Mix.
Niiiiice.. this is what I would like to dance to tonight.. A great DJ and moreover pretty handsome! Bastard..
